A New Hospitality Company Poised to Redefine Luxury Travel in Jamaica

We are thrilled to announce the launch of ATWASI, TBA’s first owned and operated hospitality company targeting the Caribbean market. As TBA's inaugural venture into travel and tourism, ATWASI represents an exciting milestone for the agency as it actualizes the origin story of its founder, Marleisse Stephens, a first-generation Jamaican Canadian. With Jamaica's tourism industry earning a record $3.6 billion in 2022 and projected to reach $4.5 billion in 2023, the timing could not be better for TBA to diversify into this high-growth sector.

"As a First-generation Jamaican, launching a travel brand with roots in the Caribbean has been a lifelong dream of mine. ATWASI, is poised to transform the tourism landscape in Jamaica by delivering curated, transparent experiences that connect conscious travelers with the island's living culture."

As co-owner, The Belmont Agency Inc. will oversee ATWASI's brand strategy and creative vision, playing a pivotal role in developing an identity deeply rooted in Jamaican traditions. She brings over 12 years of experience in consumer marketing and brand leadership with companies like Netflix, Spotify and Universal Music Group. Since founding The Belmont Agency Inc. in 2020, Stephens has led engagements with forward-thinking brands such as Meta, Hulu’s Onyx Collective, ASHYA Co. and CORE Wellness while building TBA's portfolio of owned and operated ventures.

Alongside Marleisse is ATWASI's co-founder and CEO Andrea Baskett-Pee, a business development veteran who founded the leading CRM agency across the Caribbean, CRMMetry. Together, the founders of ATWASI are embarking on a mission to redefine luxury travel in Jamaica with a focus on authenticity, transparency and curated cultural immersion. While stunning resorts and beaches often come to mind when planning a Jamaican getaway, today's conscious travelers crave deeper connections with local traditions, hidden gems and everyday culture that standard packages simply cannot deliver. This is where ATWASI comes in - offering bespoke journeys matched with tech-driven solutions for streamlined booking, transparent pricing and cashless payments.
